Masking Policy Update

As you are most likely aware, the statewide mask mandate was lifted on March 12. After much thought, Night Flight has decided to move cautiously into this next phase.

Starting April 5th Night Flight will be offering both Mask Optional and Mask Required Series. For most of our classes, masks will be optional for both students and coaches. However, we will also have a handful of specific Series that will remain Masks Required Series. The OHA does recommend that those who are immunocompromised, at increased risk of severe illness, or who are unvaccinated or live with someone in those categories, continue to wear a mask.

We will continue to follow OHA guidance as well as monitor cases within our community over the coming weeks. Should cases or other variants pose a new safety concern we may need to reinstate a masking policy for all classes. However, our goal is to continue to move forward out of the pandemic while being extremely mindful of the community we serve.

Thank you for being a part of the community of Night Flight!

In-person Drop-in Classes

We offer adult classes (ages 16+) with a class ratio of 4-7 students to 1 coach.

Conditioning on Silks Drop-in

Class size: 4-7 students – 1 hour 30 min classes.
This is a fast paced conditioning class using the silks. There will be plenty of floor conditioning mixed in. This class can be used as a make-up for your series class or as a drop-in. This drop-in is not suitable for students new to aerial as students will need to know some foundation basics to attend.

Conditioning on Trapeze Drop-in

Class size: 4-7 students – 1 hour 30 min classes.
This is a combo Trapeze and Silks conditioning class! There will be plenty of floor conditioning mixed in and a lot of personalized attention. This drop-in is not suitable for students who are completely new to aerial as students will need to know some foundation basics to attend.

Open Gym

Class size: 3-6 students – 2 hour Open Gym
A perfect opportunity to work on your own. Open Gym is for more advance aerial students and artists. Attendance to our 2hr open gym times require a physical fitness and aerial skill assessment and coach approval to attend.

We offer two different Open Gym types:

  • Silks & Trapeze Focused Open Gym
  • Lyra & Silks Focused Open Gym

Prerequisite: passed Open Gym test – 4 and half regular climbs followed by a straddle up.

Keeping Night Flight safe:

  • We’ve added perfect seal HEPA air purifiers (from Hawk Environmental) that can filter viruses particles out of the air to both studios. Our skylight vents/fans will also be on during class. These ventilate the studios by pulling air out. We also have Merv-13 filters in our HVAC systems.
  •  Our new studio capacity is limited to 8 people (max 7 students and 1 coach).
  • Classes will not overlap and there will be a break of 15 min empty studio time between classes for our HEPA air filter to clean the air.
  • Stretching mats will still be sanitized between uses.

Studio Policies due to Covid-19

Arriving on Time
Students are required to arrive on time to class! The exterior doors to the building are locked to limit the number of people coming into the building. This means that a coach will have to come get you at exactly the start time of your class to let you into the building. Please be at the exterior 9th st entrance doors of the building waiting to be let in at or before the time of your class. Do not sign up for a class that you cannot get to on time.

Masks
Night Flight will be offering both Mask Optional and Mask Required Series. For most of our classes, including all of our in person Drop-ins, masks will be optional for both students and coaches. However, we will also have a handful of specific Series that will remain Masks Required Series. The OHA does recommend that those who are immunocompromised, at increased risk of severe illness, or who are unvaccinated or live with someone in those categories, continue to wear a mask.

Capacity
Night Flight’s current capacity is limited to 8 people (7 students, 1 coach) max in each studio. Classes will not overlap and there will be a break of 15 min empty studio time between classes for our HEPA air filter to clean the air.

Air Quality
In both studios, we’ve added perfect seal HEPA air purifiers (from Hawk Environmental) that can remove virus particles from the air. Our skylight vents/fans will also be on during class. These ventilate the studios by pulling air out.

Classes in Studio B
If your class is in Studio B, please only enter and exit using this door.

Water Bottle
Please bring and use your own water bottle. Please make sure to take your water bottle home with you when you leave.

Chalk & Rosin
Please bring and use your own chalk and rosin. We will have these items for sale at the studio. Please email us if you would like to buy some from us.

Cleaning up after yourself
Apply all chalk, rosin and spray rosin directly over the provided rugs. Clean up any spilled chalk, rosin and spray rosin before leaving the studio. Sanitize stretching mats and stall bars after use with sanitizer provided.

Hand Hygiene
Everyone is required to wash their hands for 20 seconds or sanitize them with hand sanitizer directly after entering the studio. This includes after coming back from the restroom.

Who can be in the Studio?
Only students who are signed up for the current class and coaches are allowed in the studio. We ask that all other people wait outside the building.

Shoes
We now have shoe cubbies near the entry doors for both Studio A & B. We ask that everyone takes off their shoes immediately upon entering the studio from now on.
