Beg 1 Aerial (Trap/Silks) Series

Our Beg 1 Aerial (Trap/Silks) Series is perfect for students new to aerial. Learn fundamental aerial skills and basic movements on the silks and trapeze including climbs, inversions and poses. Focus is on building shoulder stability, core strength, upper body strength and overall flexibility. Training on the equipment follows a smooth progression.

Beg 1 Aerial (Silks only) Series

1 hour 30 min classes.
A true beginning silks class for people who have never done silks before or who are at a beg level. Class begins with a 30 min coach led warm-up and floor conditioning before training on the silks begins. Students learn to climb, invert, wrap footlocks, etc. There will be a lot of personalized attention and support in class.

Beg 2 Aerial (Trap/Silks) Series

Our Beg 2 Aerial (Trap/Silks) is the perfect place to continue learning after completing either our Beg 1 Aerial (Silks only) or Beg 1 Aerial (Trap/Silks) Series. Class begins with a 30 min coach led warm-up and floor conditioning before training on the silks and trapeze begins. Students continue working on skills they learned in our Beg 1 Aerial (Silks only) & Beg 1 Aerial (Trap/Silks) Series, as well as new techniques on both the trapeze and silks. There will be a lot of personalized attention and support in class.

Beg 2 Aerial (Silks only) Series

Our Beg 2 Aerial (Silks only) picks up where Beg 1 Aerial (Silks only) leaves off, and it is the perfect place to continue learning silks after completing our Beg 1 Aerial (Silks only) Series. Class begins with a 30 min coach led warm-up and floor conditioning before training on the silks begins. Students continue working on climbing, inverting, and wrapping footlocks, as well as new techniques such as catchers, hiplocks, back balance and straddle back in double footlocks. There will be a lot of personalized attention and support in class.

Trapeze 1-2 Series

Our Trapeze 1-2 Series focuses on building techniques and skills on the trapeze. Students will build a vocabulary of trapeze tricks as well finding fluidity of movements on the trapeze. This Series is designed for students who have already completed our Beg 2 Aerial (Trap/Silks) Series or who have had some previous aerial foundational training.

This Series is for students at an intermediate to advanced level and includes challenging aerial conditioning with a strong emphasis on form and technique as well as learning more advanced movements on the trapeze.

Trapeze 3 Series

This is for advanced Trapeze students. This trapeze Series includes more difficult tricks and movements. Students should be able to sequence movements on the trapeze with ease. Instructor permission required.

Dance Trapeze 1-2 Series

1 hour 30 min classes.
Dance trapeze is also known as single-point trapeze. The ropes of the trapeze are both attached to a single swivel, allowing the trapeze to spin easily. Our Dance Trapeze Series is for students who already have some foundational trapeze experience and are at a Trapeze 1-2 level at our studio. (Sorry, we are not offering a Dance Trapeze Series geared toward complete beginners at this moment). The coach will tailor the curriculum based on students’ individual goals, whether it’s reconditioning, working on new tricks or finding fluidity of movement on the trapeze.

Dance Trapeze 2-3 Series

Our Dance Trapeze 2-3 Series is for intermediate to advanced trapeze students who are ready to work on intermediate to advanced sequencing, spinning, and skills and tricks on a single point trapeze. The coach will tailor the curriculum based on students’ individual goals, as well as work on new tricks, skills and fluidity of movement on the trapeze.

This Series is perfect for students who have just passed into our Silks 1 level or who are returning to it. It focuses on conditioning, building strength, and increasing stamina as well as developing an  intermediate vocabulary of movements on the silks. Students will need to be approved for a Silks 1 level or higher to attend.

Learn intermediate tricks, movement and drops with a strong focus on sequencing movements as well as movement quality and expression. This class is for individuals who have a solid foundation in aerial silks skills and want to put it all together.

Our Silks 3 Series is for advanced Silks students. Learn difficult tricks, movements and drops. Students should be able to sequence movements with ease. It will focus on increasing strength and stamina with a lot of personalized attention. Students need to be at a Silks 3 level to attend.

Lyra 1-2 Series

Our mixed level Lyra 1-2 Series focuses on beginning to more advanced movements on the lyra as well as sequencing and spinning. Focus is on movement quality, flexibility, and strength. Foundational aerial training is required.

Lyra 2-3 Series

This Series is for Lyra 2 and 3 level students and focuses on building strength, stamina and techniques specific to the lyra. Students will also work on intermediate to advanced lyra vocabulary slowly and safely with a lot of personalized attention.

Straps Beg Series

In our 7-week Straps Series, students will learn beginning and intermediate movements on straps as well as conditioning for straps. We recommend having completed Beg 2 Aerial (Trap/Silks) or Beg 2 Aerial (Silks only).

Sling 1 Series

Sling 1 is perfect for students already at a Silks 1, Trapeze 1, or Lyra 1 level. Our Sling 1 Series focuses on building a beginning to intermediate vocabulary of skills and techniques on the aerial sling.

Handstands Series

Our Handstands Series focuses on proper form and technique for handstands as well as building the necessary strength. This Series is for students who are comfortable kicking up to a handstand at the wall. It will include floor conditioning for handstands, and it is good cross training for aerial.

Aerial Conditioning Series

  • Mon 9:30-11am – Larke
  • Thur 9:15-10:45am – Kate

1 hour 30 min classes.
Come have fun, get stronger, and feel more confident in the air with this conditioning class. Focus will be on strength building rather than new tricks. Includes conditioning in the air on a variety of equipment and on the floor. Students must have taken Beg 1 Aerial and be able to climb the silks.

Refund Policy

Please make sure when you sign up that you intend to stick with the Series, as there will be no refunds issued. We can’t afford to run our classes if participants drop out. Because each student will count significantly toward whether or not we can run each class, it’s very important that we know that we have enough students to run each class.

  • No refunds for Series Classes
  • Credit available, minus $35, for withdrawals made with at least 72 hours (3 days) notice before the first day of the Series.
  • Series Classes are non-transferable.
  • Please email nightflightaerial@yahoo.com if you are cancelling 72 hours before the start of a Series Class and need to get a credit.

Sick Policy

  • If you need to miss class because you are sick: we offer Drop-ins/Open Gyms. Please email us at nightflightaerial@yahoo.com if you need more info.
  • Please do not return to the studio until 72 hours (3 days) after resolution of symptoms and fever without the use of a fever reducer.

Arriving on Time
Students are required to arrive on time to class! Do not sign up for a class that you cannot get to on time.

Water Bottle
Please bring and use your own water bottle.

Cleaning up after yourself
Please thoroughly clean up after yourself. All chalk, rosin and spray rosin must be applied directly over the grip aid rugs. Please clean up any spilled chalk, rosin and spray rosin before leaving the studio. All students must sanitize their yoga mat after use.

Who can be in the Studio?
Only students who are signed up for the current class and coaches are allowed in the studio. We ask that all other people wait outside the building.

Shoes
Shoe cubbies are located near the entry doors for both Studio A & B. Everyone must take off their shoes upon entering and leave them there.
